2000 NAQT British Championship
Balliol College, Oxford won the third annual NAQT British Universities' Quiz Championship, going undefeated during the round-robin competition and defeating Trinity College, Cambridge, 490-265 in the final to secure the title.
The Balliol College team, which has now won all three of the British Championships contested, was led by Ian Bayley and Andrew Clark, both of whom played on the Oxford team that finished 15th at the 2000 ICT. The Trinity team featured three players, Sean Blanchflower, Robin Bhattacharyya and Coulter George, from the Cambridge side that finished 25th at the 2000 ICT.
The competition, held at the University of Manchester on Saturday, June 3, featured eight teams competing in a round-robin, followed by a Grand Final featuring the top two teams from the round-robin.
