2002 NAQT Intercollegiate ChampionshipDivision I ResultsThe 2002 NAQT ICT Division I tournament started with a pooled round-robin with the 36 teams split into three 12-team divisions. The teams were then split into six-team pools with matches played against teams from the other pools. The top two teams, Michigan A and Virginia, then advanced to the championship series with the Michigan team needing only one win and Virginia needing two to claim the title. Michigan won the first game 575-95 to claim the overall title. Defending champion Chicago went 12-3 to claim third place. In the undergraduate division, Princeton won their third straight title by defeating Michigan B 425-145 in the first game of the championship series. Princeton's fourth-place overall finish is the highest by an all-undergraduate team since a separate undergradate championship was instituted in 1998. The University of Florida took third place.
