2009 NAQT Community College Championship Results

J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College of Richmond, Virginia, broke out to a 170-point halftime lead and held on to defeat Chipola College of Marianna, Florida, 350-205 in the final to claim the title at the inaugural NAQT Community College Championship Tournament. Reynolds's George Berry was the tournament's leading scorer, averaging over 100 points per game. Chipola had advanced to the final by defeating Northeast Alabama CC (Rainsville, AL) and then host Valencia CC (Orlando, FL) in a series of half-games after all three teams had finished tied for second at 9-2. Broward College (Fort Lauderdale, FL) and Chipola's "B" team rounded out the top six, all of whom earned invitations to NAQT's Intercollegiate Championship Tournament April 3-4 in Dallas.

The tournament All-Stars, based on performance in the seven initial preliminary games, were:

The tournament, held at Valencia Community College's West Campus in Orlando on February 27-28, featured 24 of the top teams from across the country, who advanced from NAQT's Sectional qualifiers held on January 23-24.
