2004 NAQT High School National Championship Results

Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology (Alexandria, VA) became the first school to successfully defend their national championship by going 16-0 during the tournament and defeating Maggie L. Walker Governor's School for Government and International Studies (Richmond, VA) in the final 375-290. Thomas Jefferson is the first school to go undefeated throughout a national championship and joins Catholic Central HS (Redford, MI) as the only two-time champions of the event. Governor's School is the only other school to reach the championship game twice, but they have been defeated there both this year and in 2000. St. John's School (Houston, TX) finished third, marking the third straight year they have finished in the top three. Past national champions Catholic Central and State College (PA) Area HS finished in fourth and fifth place, respectively.
