National Academic Quiz Tournaments, LLC is pleased to announce that the 2001-2002 Intercollegiate Championship Tournament (ICT) will be held at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on April 5-6 (Friday/Saturday).
As a change from previous years, four titles will be awarded:
- Division I Overall Champion
- Division I Undergraduate Champion
- Division II Overall Champion
- Division II Community College Champion
The tournament schedule will be similar to that of the 2000-2001 ICT, with registration beginning no earlier than 5:00 p.m. and with gameplay ending about 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Details about the tournament including the size of the field and the format will be announced later. The cost will be similar to last year's with a base fee of approximately $120 with discounts for providing moderators and buzzers.
Teams qualify for the 2002 championship with their performances at the Sectional Championship Tournaments held on February 8-10, 2002. Community college teams may also qualify at the Community College Sectional Championship Tournaments.
