The East Division of the 2009-2010 Minnesota High School Quiz Bowl league will play its games at Macalester College. The college's address is:

Games will be held in Olin-Rice Hall (and the adjoining Humanities building). The initial meeting will be in the Smail Gallery. A campus map (PDF) is available. Macalester also provides directions for getting to campus.

Dates:

This pool will compete on November 12, December 17, and January 28.

Parking:

Teams and moderators may park anywhere labeled "parking" on the online map (PDF).

Buses should enter Macalester from St. Clair and then go north on Macalester street (the main entrance off St. Clair), go north, drop the kids off by Olin-Rice and Humanities and then exit on Macalester all the way to Grand, go east on Grand, south on Snelling and west again on St. Clair and re-enter the campus near the ball fields. They can park along that drive by the ball fields.

Game Times:

The first game begins at 6:00. The last game is scheduled to end at 8:30. Teams should plan to arrive by 5:45 so they can take in any last-minute announcements. Teams that have not arrived by 6:15 will begin forfeiting their matches.

Meeting Area:

Teams should gather in the Smail Gallery of Olin-Rice Hall.

Food:

Teams may bring their own food or order from an outside source. The Macalester food court will be open and serving meals in the Campus Center.
