Reporting SCT Results

Hosts chosen to run Sectional Championship Tournaments (SCTs) in 2011 must promptly report their results to NAQT.

Within 24 hours of the completion of the event, the host must report for each competing team: division, institution, team name, team designation ("A", "B", etc.), games won, games lost, and final order of finish. For teams in Division I, their graduate/undergraduate status must be included as well.

Within three days of the completion of the event, the host must submit one or more complete SQBS data files (not HTML web reports) covering the entire tournament. Those files should be created according to NAQT's guidelines for using SQBS and must include individual statistics and all tiebreaker games. In particular, the round number must be specified for every game, tossups heard should be tracked for every game, and overtime games should be properly marked as such.

Both the initial report and the SQBS data files should be sent to results@naqt.com.

NAQT also requests, but does require, that hosts report any interesting or extraordinary circumstances that arise including extremely offensive behavior by teams or lengthy protests. NAQT also requests that hosts forward information about any erroneous or misleading questions found in the set. Such errors should be sent to errata@naqt.com.
