Individual Player National Championship Tournament
Quiz bowl is usually a team game, but the Individual Player National Championship Tournament (IPNCT) welcomes individual players to see how their knowledge, reflexes, and anticipation stack up against those of other elite competitors.
There are separate divisions for high school players (grades 9–12) and middle school players (grades 8 and below). All students are eligible to compete at the IPNCT, and no prior qualification is required.
The 2019 IPNCT, powered by LetterOne, was held on Sunday, April 7 at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare in Rosemont, Illinois (near Chicago). The winner of the High School Division was Ethan Strombeck of Auburn High School (Rockford, Illinois); the winner of the Middle School Division was Arin Parsa of Challenger School, Almaden (San Jose, California).
The 2020 IPNCT was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
